On a humid afternoon in 2013 I sat in a library in Corydon Indiana. I was a missionary at the time and our mission president had asked every missionary in the Louisville Kentucky mission to sign on to the new Family Search website that had been released.
As I signed in and started looking around I found the "Memories" tab and clicked it. Before I knew it, the screen filled with the faces of those people who gave me life. As I scrolled through their pictures and looked at their names there was a sudden warm fire in my heart. The spirit of family history was lit within me and since that time I have worked to preserve the stories of those who came before us.
